🕹️  Using Edit Mode

Edit Mode allows you to add or modify any asset in a world you are the owner or an admin of. To turn on Edit Mode, click the Edit toggle on the toolbar. When turned on, the toggle will show a check mark highlighted in blue.

✏️  Edit Assets

Once assets are placed in a world, you can make the following modifications:

To edit an asset that is already placed in your world, make sure Edit Mode is on and the Edit toggle on the toolbar is blue. Hover over the asset, and click on the pencil icon that shows in the middle of the asset. A menu will dropdown from the asset with options to:

Edit

Use this option to add media, add links, add events, enable broadcast functionality, or modify the layering of the asset.

Move

Allows you to reposition the asset within your world.

Duplicate

Allows you to make a copy of the asset.

Flip

Allows you to flip the asset vertically, transforming the asset into its mirror image.

Remove

Allows you to delete the asset for your world.


🪄  Resize Assets In-World

As a world owner or admin, you can resize Topia assets and uploaded assets after they have been dropped and placed in a world. You can change the scale of the asset very easily by doing the following:

  • Make sure Edit Mode is on and the Edit toggle on the toolbar is blue.

  • Hover over the asset you would like to adjust and click the pencil icon.

  • Click Edit to open the Modify Asset drawer.

  • At the bottom, just above the asset’s preview image is Asset Scale. Use the slider or the up/down arrows to change the scale of the asset. The size can be shrunk down to 1% or enlarged up to 200%
